Tijuana

We are so excited that you are exploring the possibility of traveling to Tijuana. At Globalcare we put together this one pager to prepare you for your visit!

Getting there

Tijuana is exceptionally accessible, especially from the U.S., with multiple transportation options. For air travel, the Tijuana International Airport hosts numerous flights weekly. If a direct flight isn't available, you can easily connect through major U.S. hubs such as Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta. Additionally, the unique Cross Border Xpress (CBX) offers a convenient bridge directly connecting San Diego’s airport to Tijuana International Airport, making your journey smoother and quicker by allowing you to cross the border within minutes.

Arrival into the city

Tijuana is exceptionally accommodating for American travelers, providing a seamless and friendly experience right from the moment you land. Tijuana International Airport is busy but well-organized and equipped with clear signage and helpful traveler services, ensuring a smooth start to your visit.

Upon landing at Tijuana's international airport, you'll proceed through immigration. The Transportation Authority in Mexico is English-speaking, so if asked, feel free to mention that you're visiting for dental treatment.

After clearing immigration, if you have checked luggage, you can collect it before moving on to customs. There, you will fill out a simple form and submit it to the customs officials. Tijuana airport also employs the semaphore system common in Mexican airports, where you press a button: red for a detailed check or green to proceed to the exit.

If you've chosen our transportation services, your driver will wait for you outside customs to take you to your hotel. If you have not arranged transportation through us, you can easily book a taxi at the airport’s official taxi stand or use a ride-share service. Just join the queue, and you'll come to your accommodation soon.
