Mexico City

We are so excited that you are exploring the possibility of traveling to Mexico City. At Globalcare we put together this one pager to prepare you for your visit!

Getting there

Mexico City's international airport is exceptionally well-connected, with approximately 3,500 weekly flights. Should a direct flight be unavailable, most U.S. airlines provide connections from major hubs such as Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta.

Arrival into the city

Traveling through large airports can sometimes be intimidating, but there's no need to worry when arriving at Mexico City's Benito Juárez International Airport. Despite its size, your arrival experience here will be quite similar to other Mexican airports—efficient, well-organized, and equipped with clear signage and numerous traveler services. This consistency ensures a smooth and welcoming start to your visit, even in one of Latin America’s busiest hubs.

You will arrive at Mexico City's international airport and proceed through immigration. The Transportation Authority in Mexico speaks English, so if you're asked about your visit, feel free to mention that you're in the city for dental treatment.

After passing through immigration, if you have checked your luggage, you'll collect it before heading to customs. There, you'll fill out a straightforward form and submit it to the customs officials. Like many airports in Mexico, Mexico City uses a semaphore system where you will press a button: red to request a further check or green to proceed to the exit.

If you've opted for our transportation services, your driver will wait for you outside customs to escort you to your hotel. If you haven't arranged our transportation, you can secure a taxi at the airport's official taxi stand or choose a ride-share service from your preferred provider. Simply join the queue and wait for your ride to your hotel.
